Use star ratings for urgency
One- and two-star reviews are a useful first queue for support or product triage. Keep higher ratings available for reporting or praise workflows rather than sending every event to the urgent channel.
- Low-star alert → support or incident owner.
- Four- and five-star alert → customer story or team praise.
- All ratings → weekly trend report.
Use keywords for known failure modes
Add words such as crash, billing, login, refund, or subscription only when the team knows what happens next. Review the search terms regularly and remove words that create noise.
Use locale and destination together
A region or language can determine who should investigate the feedback. Route a small number of regional rules to the right Slack channel or helpdesk queue rather than duplicating every alert.
Test before you scale
Send a test alert, confirm the original review link and metadata are present, and ask the destination owner to acknowledge it. Only then add more apps or more keywords.
