Follow these steps
Complete the workflow, then verify it
- 1
Add ReviewBot to the team
Open ReviewBot in Microsoft Teams using the link below and add it to the team that should receive reviews. Choose the destination channel. Follow any administrator approval required by your organization.
- 2
Run setup in that channel
Mention @ReviewBot and send setup. Follow the setup link returned by the bot. For a private or shared channel, enable ReviewBot in the channel’s app settings where required, then send the command there.
- 3
Sign in and confirm the connection
Complete the Microsoft sign-in using the account with access to that channel. In ReviewBot, check the workspace, team, and channel, then choose Connect this channel. If the setup link expires, run setup again to get a fresh link.
- 4
Create a review-alert Flow
Choose New Flow, then Review alerts. Select a review source and ratings, choose Microsoft Teams as the destination, and select the connected channel. App-store sources also offer country or language filters.
- 5
Check setup delivery
Turn on the Flow and check that its setup message arrives in the intended channel. Matching new and updated reviews arrive as ReviewBot collects them. The setup message does not import historical reviews.
Quick checklist
- ✓ReviewBot is allowed by the organization and added to the intended team.
- ✓The connection shows the correct workspace and channel.
- ✓The Flow has the intended source, ratings, and locale where available.
- ✓The setup message arrived and the Flow is active.
If something does not work
The app is blocked or missing+
Ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to allow ReviewBot. Use a work or school account with access to the team; a personal Microsoft account does not provide access to an organization’s Teams workspace.
The bot does not respond+
Mention @ReviewBot before setup or help in the channel. Check that the app is installed and enabled for that channel. For private and shared channels, check channel app settings and organization access policies.
The setup link expired+
Send @ReviewBot setup again in the destination channel. Complete the fresh link with the Microsoft account that has access, and confirm the intended ReviewBot workspace.
A shared-channel participant cannot connect+
Check access with both organizations’ administrators. Being able to view a shared channel does not automatically grant installation or connection permissions.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an incoming webhook?+
No. The native app connects through Teams sign-in and channel confirmation. Existing webhook connections are a separate setup path.
Can I reply directly inside Teams?+
Teams supports review alerts and links to the original source. It does not publish replies from the Teams conversation.
How do I stop alerts?+
Pause or delete the Flow in ReviewBot. Removing the app can also prevent delivery. Manage subscriptions separately in ReviewBot Billing.
