Follow these steps
Complete the workflow, then verify it
- 1
Choose the app and alert rules
In ReviewBot, create a review-notification Flow, choose App Store or Google Play, select your app, and set the review filters. Choose Google Chat as the destination. A ReviewBot account and an active trial or paid plan are required for review delivery.
- 2
Connect an incoming webhook
In Google Chat, open the destination space menu, select Apps & integrations, and open Webhooks. Create a webhook for ReviewBot. In ReviewBot, choose Add account, enter the space name, and paste the webhook URL. Treat that URL like a password. Your Workspace administrator may restrict incoming webhooks.
- 3
Connect the ReviewBot app when available
If your organization has access to the native ReviewBot app, add it to the destination space or open a direct message with it. Send connect to ReviewBot; in a space, mention @ReviewBot. In ReviewBot, select the ReviewBot app connection method and enter the private code. The code expires in 10 minutes and works only once.
- 4
Select the destination and verify delivery
Return to the Flow, select the connected Google Chat destination, and turn it on. Confirm the setup message appears in the intended conversation. Then confirm a matching new review arrives with its rating, text, locale and review link.
- 5
Manage or stop notifications
Edit the Flow to change filters, or pause it to stop review delivery. For the native app, removing ReviewBot from the conversation also stops its delivery. Remove an incoming webhook in Google Chat to revoke that webhook. Removing either connection does not cancel a ReviewBot subscription; manage that separately in Billing.
Quick checklist
- ✓The intended app and store are selected.
- ✓The correct Google Chat space or direct conversation is connected.
- ✓The setup message arrived.
- ✓The Flow filters match the reviews your team needs.
If something does not work
The ReviewBot app is not available+
Native Marketplace publication is being prepared. If the app is available to your organization but is blocked, ask your Workspace administrator to allow it. Incoming webhooks are the current alternative when permitted by your organization.
The connection code expired or was used+
Send connect to ReviewBot again in the same conversation, then enter the new code. Keep codes private and never include them in support requests.
The space is linked to another workspace+
Sign in to the ReviewBot workspace that owns the connection. Contact support if the space must be moved to a different workspace.
No review arrives after setup+
Check that the Flow is active and that new reviews match its filters. For a native connection, confirm ReviewBot remains in the conversation. After reinstalling the app, reconnect with a new code before expecting delivery. For webhooks, confirm the webhook still exists and replace a revoked URL.
