Connect Freshdesk for app review alerts

Connect Freshdesk with its subdomain and API key, then choose which app reviews should reach support.

Updated September 9, 2026 · ReviewBot Help Center

Follow these steps

Complete the workflow, then verify it

  1. 1

    Choose Freshdesk

In a notification Flow, choose Freshdesk and add an account.

  2. 2

    Enter the Freshdesk subdomain

For https://example.freshdesk.com, enter example in Freshdesk subdomain.

  3. 3

    Enter the API key

In Freshdesk, open the profile menu, then Profile settings and Your API key. Enter it only in ReviewBot’s API key field and complete the connection.

  4. 4

    Choose rules and save

Select star ratings and a country or language. Review optional add-ons, then save. Saving a Flow sends a setup/introduction message to its destination. This confirms the connection; it is not a sample customer review. Check a naturally arriving matching review separately. There is no separate Send test alert button in the current Flow menu.

  5. 5

    Check the support workflow

After a new matching review arrives, have the support owner inspect the created item. Use Freshdesk’s own assignment rules for queue ownership. Direct replies from Freshdesk are pending marketplace approval. Until customer installation is available, use the store console to publish a response.

Quick checklist

  • Subdomain matches the intended account.
  • API key entered in the connection form.
  • Setup delivery checked.
  • An agent owns incoming reviews.

If something does not work

Connection stopped working+

Check whether the API key was changed or access was revoked. Reconnect the destination using the current key. Never send your API key in a support email or screenshot.

Too much volume+

Narrow the star ratings or source scope and check duplicate Flows. Review text manually for issue type.

Frequently asked questions

Can I post a public reply from Freshdesk?+

Freshdesk replies are pending marketplace approval; review alerts are available now. The upcoming workflow will require the ReviewBot marketplace app, a verified App Store or Google Play connection, and replies enabled for the Flow. Until installation is available, publish replies from the store console.

How many Flows for two apps?+

At least two: each listing-to-destination route is a separate Flow.
