Add an App Store app to ReviewBot

App Store monitoring works best when the listing, account access, and destination owner are confirmed before alerts are enabled. This guide covers the setup path and the checks that prevent an empty or ambiguous Flow.

Follow these steps

Complete the workflow, then verify it

  1. 1

    Start a new Flow

Open Create Flow and choose the notification or reporting task that matches the team’s job.

  2. 2

    Choose App Store

Select the App Store source and connect the App Store account used to manage the listing. Use an account with the access required by the current ReviewBot connection flow.

  3. 3

    Select the listing

Choose the iOS or Mac app, then confirm the app name and store context before continuing. If you support multiple apps, create separate Flows when ownership differs.

  4. 4

    Set the first filters

Use low-star filters for support triage and add only the issue keywords someone will investigate. Locale and translation settings can be added when a regional owner needs them.

  5. 5

    Choose a destination and test

Connect Slack, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Teams, or email. Save the Flow, send a test alert, and use the original review link to confirm the context is complete.

Quick checklist

  • The correct App Store listing is selected.
  • The account has the required store access.
  • The destination has an owner.
  • A test alert was opened from the destination.

If something does not work

The app is not listed+

Confirm you connected the account that can access the listing and that the listing is available in the selected store context. Reconnect the account if the authorization has expired.

Reviews arrive without enough context+

Check the selected app and destination, then send a new test alert. Keep the original review link and app/version fields visible to the person triaging it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I monitor more than one App Store app?+

Yes. Use separate Flows when apps have different owners, alert rules, or destinations. A single broad Flow is harder to triage.

Does this include Mac App Store reviews?+

ReviewBot’s App Store workflow is designed for supported iOS and Mac App Store listings. Confirm the available listing in the connected account before enabling the Flow.
